God's Sovereignty

Lots of people were born today-Lots died.
Many lost their jobs, and some with it their families.
Some of us are starting new things.
Others are falling into their same old routines
Some of us are happy.
Many are sad.
Someone will take their life today.
Others will take the life of someone else.
The CEO and farmer will both work full days.
The stay at home mom will play with her children.
Some will pray today.
Some will pretend to.
Others will praise their creator.
Some won't care.
Some don't know to.
We will all sin.

God knows my heart and He is not suprised by my circumstances...even when I'm blown away.

"Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" -Esther 4:14

This has been a favorite verse of mine for a long time and somehow I've missed the weight of it. God is in control of everything. I'm here @ SIFAT (more on that later) because God ordained for it to be so. He does not have to use me...

"If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise...from another place." -Esther 4:13

God can use anyone...but he is choosing to use me here. He chooses to let me see his mighty hand at work. The creator of the universe is letting me watch Him work.

So @ this time in my life where I've been given new things...lost something I thought I wanted...been hurt and renewed...and fallen more in love with Jesus, I am walking in the joy that comes from knowing that I have been chosen-God has ordered my steps (Psalm 37:23), numbered my days (Psalm 39:4) and has a plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11). I am free because my sins have been forgiven by my Saviors Lord.

Today has been such a freeing day. I skipped* through the office today @ the realization that I have no worries...what I do doesn't matter...God is in control!

I'll leave you with the lyrics that have meant a lot to me this week...

"I do not ask to see the way my feet will have to tread,
but only that my should may feed upon the living bread.
Tis better far that I shall walk by faith close to His side.
I may not know the way I go, but Oh! I know my guide."

*Don't worry...no one saw me skipping!
